I am a believer in the death penalty. The way that I look at it is that what if it were my own family member on trial. If I truly believed that they had committed such a crime, then I believe they would also deserve the death penalty. Mr Bishop has admitted to chasing this man down, holding him up, laughing and cheering the killer on, leaving him to die, then returning for his possesions along with several other factors that played the role in his victom’s death. Obviously Mr Bishop had no remorse at that time. It is my opinion that due to the length of time that he has had to sit in jail and think his actions over that he has gained some remorse. Now it is too late. I am sure that if the victom had 9 or more years to sit in a cell and think about his actions (the actions that led the his own death), he also would do things differently. As the victom’s sister has already stated, the victom had no one on his side as he pleaded for his life. Now the citizens of Mississippi should not plea for Mr Bishops life. It is, I’m sure, the most horrible thing Mr Bishops family will ever go through. My heart goes out to them. What they should now be focusing on is that Bishop has asked Jesus to come into his heart. If not, not only will he die today but he will continue to die forever in hell. That should be what they are spending thier final moments contemplating on.
And to the victom’s family, I hope that some closure will come in the short future. My thoughts are with you.
HI:
JESSICA very well said. I can not add anymore or say it
any more JUST ! The crime has been done and can not be
taken back ,to say “but I did not mean or wont it” is not enough as an afther statement. As a child caught with it’s
hand in the empty cookie jar can not give the cookies back
and leaving or removing the crumbs only adds to the wrong.
YES, all involed does need the concered to pray. We sing on this side of flesh death GOD is in control, but on the other
side GOD has obsoluite control. What GOD allows man does not control. what you have said is best said by you for it means much more than by anyone else.
