Clarion-Ledger photographer dead at 53

JACKSON – J.D. Schwalm, a photographer at The Clarion-Ledger newspaper of Jackson for 24 years, has died after a 15-month battle with cancer. He was 53.
Funeral services were pending. Schwalm died Thursday at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland.
Schwalm earned a journalism degree in 1977 from Indiana University in Bloomington. He also studied humanities at Harlaxton College [...]
